The non-sterile 8-ply non-woven swab is manufactured binder-free and possesses the absorptive capacity of an 16-ply gauze swab. The material is very soft and therefore gentle to the skin. NOBATOP® 16 serves as base material for ointment dressings. Due to its softness, NOBATOP® 16 is excellently suited for mouth care. It can be sterilized and then be used as wound cover. Before use on open wounds, the non-woven swab must be sterilized in accordance with a validated sterilization method. 100 non-woven swabs are packed in a paper package.
