The bandage serves to immobilize the upper arm and shoulder region after fractures, dislocations or an AC-joint disturbance. It can be applied postoperatively or directly after a trauma. It consists of an elastic compression stockinette which is adjacent to a stabilising shoulder padding. The bandage is split over the healthy shoulder to allocate the weight of the arm to it. The ends are fixed by means of a hook and loop fastener. The interior side of this bandage is provided with a terry cloth cover. The bandage is washable at 60° C, hook and loop fasteners closed.
