Ecology and economy are working side by side in our company.

Our desire is for an intact environment for ourselves, and for all generations thereafter. All employees of our company live up to this responsibility on a daily basis.

The emphasis is placed by business management of the company – not just to the advantage of our customers but also to maintain a healthy ecosystem.

Right at the start of development, we take into consideration the environmental effect of production, usage, and disposal of our products.

-	When planning our production facilities, environmental aspects are taken into consideration from the very beginning. Simple and clear concepts for the use of energy and materials are contributing factors, and energy and water are used sparingly.

-	Ecological foresight is also used when selecting our suppliers.
-	We prefer renewable resources, such as cotton and cellulose. On the other hand, the use of modern materials, such as super-absorbers in incontinence products, reduces the use of cellulose.

-	Bleaching processes for bandages and cotton wool use hydrogen peroxide (oxygen bleaching) in principle.
-	Our preference is for solvent-free production of adhesive plasters.
-	We satisfy the highest demands in product safety.
-	We test for compatibility of our products in cell biological systems and do where possible without animal testing.

-	Wherever plastic materials are used, we test for environmental compatibility. Our packaging does not contain any PVC.
-	We use recycled paper whenever hygiene and product safety permit.
-	The principle of minimisation of distances practiced by us protects us and our environment from unnecessary burdens from truck transportation. Inland ship transportation is our first choice of domestic and foreign transportation means.

-	Our optimized packaging systems pay off during transportation through reduced usage of materials, through reduced volume, and through subsequent disposal.
